The CISCE recently announced the results of the Class X and XII board exams, with an overall pass percentage of 98.9% for ICSE and 96.9% for ISC. The board’s CEO and Secretary, Gerry Arathoon, noted that girls performed better than boys, which is consistent with previous years.

Pass percentages for girls were 99.2% for ICSE and 98% for ISC, while boys had pass percentages of 98.7% and 95.9%, respectively. Among the candidates, nine students secured the first position with a score of 99.8%, while 40 students took the second spot with 99.6%. 117 students achieved the third position with a score of 99.4% in English and their best four subjects.
Although it’s impressive to see such high pass percentages, the gender disparities in pass rates between boys and girls need to be addressed. Nonetheless, it’s a great achievement for the students who appeared for these exams, and it’s hoped that they will continue to excel in their future endeavors.
