Planet in Peril: The Urgent Reality of Global Warming
Hi everyone, my name is Sarthak Mohan and I’m 13 years old, I live in Bangalore. Today, I want to talk about global warming. I know it might sound boring, but it’s really important and affects all of us.
So, what is global warming? Well, it’s when the Earth’s temperature gets hotter because of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. These gases trap heat from the sun, which causes the Earth to warm up. And it’s not just a little bit warmer, it’s a big problem.
Global warming causes all kinds of problems, like melting ice caps, rising sea levels, and extreme weather. We’ve all heard about hurricanes, floods, and wildfires, right? Those things are happening more often because of global warming. It’s not just bad for the environment, it’s bad for us too.
The thing is, we’re causing global warming. Humans are burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas, and that releases carbon dioxide into the air. We also cut down trees, which are really important for absorbing carbon dioxide. So, we’re making the problem worse.
But the good news is, we can do something about it! We can use renewable energy sources like wind and solar power instead of burning fossil fuels. We can also plant more trees, which will absorb carbon dioxide and help clean the air.
I know it might seem like a big problem that’s hard to fix, but we can all do our part. We can turn off lights when we leave a room, walk or ride our bikes instead of taking the car, and recycle. Small things like that can make a big difference.
So, let’s all do our part to help fight global warming and make the world a better place for us and for future generations. Thanks for reading!
