Adipurush: The Highly Anticipated Cinematic Adaptation of Ramayana Sets New Pre-Release Records

In the midst of mounting anticipation, the release of Adipurush draws nearer, poised to captivate audiences worldwide. Starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, this cinematic adaptation of the epic Ramayana has generated immense buzz and is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. Following initial concerns over poor visual effects in the teaser, the makers skillfully redeemed themselves with a spellbinding trailer, captivating viewers and generating an unprecedented level of excitement. Such is the fervor surrounding Adipurush that ticket sales have already crossed an astonishing 100 crore rupees through advance bookings alone.

Bolstered by an extraordinary response, Adipurush is set to shatter box office records, potentially surpassing the opening weekend performances of previous blockbusters. The film, helmed by director Om Raut, has opened its advance booking window well in advance of its global release, and reports indicate that it has already witnessed a staggering 36,000 ticket sales for the Hindi version alone. Early estimates suggest that the Hindi belt has contributed over 1.40 crore rupees, while the 3D format has added another 1.35 crore rupees to the film’s earnings. Furthermore, Adipurush has achieved a remarkable feat by crossing the 300 crore rupees mark in global advance bookings, according to a viral social media post.

Perhaps most surprising is that the sky-high ticket prices have failed to deter audiences from securing their seats. Adipurush has successfully conducted business with tickets priced as high as 2000 rupees. In Delhi, for instance, PVR: Vegas LUXE in Dwarka has priced its tickets at 2000 rupees, while PVR Select City Walk (Gold) has set them at 1800 rupees, with first-day shows already sold out. Similarly, at Noida PVR Gold, Logix City Centre, tickets are available for 1650 rupees. The trend extends to other major cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chennai. In Mumbai, viewers are willing to pay 2000 rupees to experience the mythological drama at Maison PVR: Living Room, Luxe, Jio World Drive, BKC. INOX Insignia at Atria Mall has set ticket prices at 1700 rupees, but first-day shows have already sold out. Moving to Bangalore, tickets range from 1600 to 1800 rupees at PVR Director’s Cut and REX Walk, while PVR Gold at VR Bengaluru on Whitfield Road offers tickets at a slightly lower price of 1150 to 1250 rupees. Kolkata moviegoers can secure their seats at South City Mall and Ouest Mall for 1060 and 1090 rupees respectively.

With its monumental budget of 500 crore rupees, Adipurush is poised to rewrite records and become the biggest movie of all time. Directed by the talented Om Raut, the film boasts an all-star cast including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage in pivotal roles, bringing the beloved characters of Ramayana to life on the silver screen. Audiences eagerly await the film’s release, scheduled for June 16, 2023, as they prepare to embark on a cinematic journey of epic proportions.
